Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are officially married.

The model and the San Francisco 49ers running back tied the knot Saturday at a chapel in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Vogue published exclusive photos of the bride in her dress.

Culpo, 32, told the magazine that she designed her dress with Dolce & Gabbana with the aim of creating something “that felt just as serious” as her engagement to McCaffrey, 28. The covered ball gown featured a scoop neck, long sleeves and a knotted back, and she wore a 16-foot-long lace veil, Vogue reported.

“I didn’t want it to be sexed up in any way, shape or form,” Culpo told Vogue. “I wanted it to feel effortless and like it was complimenting me, not overwhelming me. There’s so much beauty and simplicity.”

She added: “This is the first, last and only wedding dress I’ve tried on.” The former Miss Rhode Island USA and Miss Universe also said that the “number one priority” for her and McCaffrey was to get married in a church.

After the church ceremony at Watch Hill Chapel, where workers with blue umbrellas hid the bride from view, the reception was held at the Ocean House Hotel, which was closed to the public for the event. A tent, screened off with curtains, was set up on the lawn for guests.

Last week, Culpo shared a series of photos on Instagram showing her and McCaffrey boarding a private jet for their wedding, with flower petals filling the aisle. “Let it begin,” she wrote, adding a bride emoji. She also showed off a menu printed on a card labeled “Olivia & Christian Wedding Flight.”

Earlier in June, Culpo celebrated McCaffrey’s birthday on Instagram, writing, “Happy birthday, best thing that ever happened to me! Can’t wait to marry you.”

The couple, who have been together since 2019, announced their engagement in April 2023, when Culpo shared a series of black-and-white photos, including one of McCaffrey down on one knee.

“We’ve tried to keep this quiet for as long as possible but news is spreading fast,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “I’m getting married to my best friend. I love you so much, fiancé.”

In a 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Culpo explained why she broke her rule of not dating another athlete, after previous relationships with Ryan Lochte, Tim Tebow and Danny Amendola.

“He’s just the best, I feel like he’s everything I could ever ask for,” she said. “So I don’t have to worry about anything. I think that’s why I didn’t want to date an athlete, no offense, because they have a reputation.”
